Did you find Pivot Table difficult to use?

Have you seen people showing off their pivot table and you are wow by what they can do? And yet when you try to do it yourself, you find that you just cannot get it? If you find yourself in the same situation as described, I have good news for you. It is not your fault that you can’t create the PivotTable. The problem is with the data you own. Take for example this set of data you own.

data that cannot be pivoted

Can I do PivotTable with it? You can’t beause the data is arranged in the wrong way. Instead, it should be arranged in this way.

data that can be pivoted

So if your data is arranged in the wrong way, what should you do? Either you re-enter your data from fresh (which is something you won’t want to do) or use Excel 2016. It has a function called “Data and Transform” which is able to change the layout of your data in minutes. In the whole process, you can perform trial and error without having to worry that your raw data is corrupted. You can even go back to as many steps as you want if you find that you have some of the steps wrongly. If you want to know how this is done, sign up for the course now.
