How advanced is this Excel course?

This course is even more advanced than “Hidden Secrets in Data Analysis in Excel”. In this course, we do not use worksheet functions. We use Power Query, a function that is designed to prepare your data for analysis. This function works exactly the same way as any data analytics tools (including Power BI and Tableau) out there in the market.

 With Power Query, you do not have to re-do all the steps for your report anymore. Once done, it is forever done. All you need to do is to refresh the data. Your productivity will increase by leaps and bounds. My personal experience is that once I did it, my reports are updated in seconds. I swear by it.

 Not just an Excel course

This is not just an Excel course. The functions we cover here are all data analytics functions. Learning what you can do with Excel will help you master any data visualization tools out there in the market. The beauty of this tool is that you do not have to worry about getting use to new App. You will be using Excel. So you can focus on learning Data Analytics. Multiple worksheets for Pivot Table?

Do you have a problem preparing a Pivot Table report with multiple worksheets? With Power Query, this is no longer an obstacle. In fact, it is so easy to use that you will be spending time analyzing your data instead of doing copy and pasting.

 VLOOKUP – You are fired!

There is a new function called Power Pivot (have a similar name as Pivot Table). It can help you prepare reports that were never possible in Pivot Table. WIth Power Pivot, you can fire VLOOKUP. There is no need to do VLOOKUP anymore. And updating the list is as easy as just add the entry into the list.

Calculating Variance/Growth outside Pivot Table? Not anymore

Power Pivot is so much more powerful than Pivot Table. It can do calculations inside the pivot table. WIth Power Pivot, you can present your variance side by side with your numbers. There is not need to manually copy and paste the formula downwards when you filter the list. Or leave the ugly #Num on the worksheet when the Pivot Table Report is shortened.

2. There is a skillsfuture credit for corporate

 There is a corporate version of the skillsfuture credit. It is called Skillsfuture Enterprise Credit. In each eligible corporate account, there are $10,000 which you can use for training. By right, this fund is only available from 1 Apr 2021. But it is allowed to be used for training before 1 April 2021. So, if you want to tap on this fund before it is snatched away by other departments for other purposes, you should do it now.

3. One last thing.

 The last thing I would like you to know is that you can get a subsidized rate for the new Data Analytics course if you are sponsored by the company. And the company can pay for the balance using the Skillsfuture Enterprise Credit I mentioned in point 2. And the company can claim Absentee payroll when you attend our course. The time to take the course is not.
